I am just about finished knitting a beautiful shawl for my mama for Christmas. I also am about 1/2 way done with one sock. :) So tell me please....Where are you moving to and are you already in the process? What is going on with the hubby's job? Details please! :)

It is progressive rather well. I have one sleeve sewn up, three more to go and all the ends to weave in.

Y'know, "four screws and a tack short of a wheel" is a useful phrase! (As I sit here laughing and thinking how much it applies to me.)

I love your skirt! And you sound like I could have written that description of the requirements. Overpriced zipper fly with nice deep pockets in brushed cotton (and pleats on the sides)? Got one, from an Orvis outlet, but the honest truth is it bunches in a wad in front when I walk; flattering? Not so much. Yours, however, looks perfect to my eyes and style.

Mine have to cover my knees, like you say; they've got to have room to walk comfortably without calling attention to themselves by changing my steps; and...they have to not make it worse if my balance tumbles me overboard but rather keep me covered.

And did I mention I like yours?! Well done!
